Cocktails and Calendars

Last week I got the opportunity to celebrate one of my favorite brands, May Designs, and their launch of their line with Blue Sky Planners at Target. Seriously, nothing makes me happier than watching a local Texas brand with so much heart make it to the big time!

May Designs is an eco-friendly brand located in Austin, TX. They are known for their customizable notebooks, planners and stationary (but have also branched out to digital media, clothing and more!) To announce their collaboration they threw a launch party at the most unique location: a train station turned venue, Springdale Station.

In typical May Designs fashion, this event was Instagram perfection! As soon as you arrived, you were greeted by an over arching balloon installation (courtesy of Botanical No. 9.) Once you checked in, you received a millennial pink swag bag filled with goodies from the new Target collection. The decor in the main room alone was enough to make me want to live at this party. From the custom gummy bears and May Designs cookies to the photo booth and crafty cocktails, I went home in awe.

Of course, the star of the show, the May Designs with Blue Sky Planners collaboration was all over. You could find items from the collection on tables, desks, and every other available surface. Along with their new products, the May Designs team displayed mood boards and pantone color cards that were the inspiration for the line.

After picking your jaw up from the floor, you could walk outside and find a food truck. This wasn't any ordinary food truck. Courtesy of Savery, gourmet grilled cheese entrees and sides were available with your complimentary food tickets.

Now, I'm not saying we needed another reason to run to Target but May Designs being sold there is a pretty good one.

If you've already seen the collection in person, what did you snag?
